Well, I suppose I should start writing that kind of journal entry that tells you what I did all summer because the last time I wrote a meaningful journal was in March before semester even let out.

Mom wanted us to get jobs this summer, and I actually managed to find one. A place was opening in Clearfield called Fun Central. It's basically a Chuck-E-Cheese ripoff. It does birthday parties among other things. It has a restaurant, an indoor jungle gym, arcade, laser tag and blacklight mini-golf. I was over the moon to get the job. I applied for the job wanting to be a party host...

To this day I have not hosted a single party.

When they actually give me a closing shift, they stick me in the Laser Tag/Mini-Golf/Arcade area, which conveniently has the most work to do at closing time. So while everyone else finishes what they're doing and is ready to leave, I am the one still mopping and trying to catch up. Normally, though they just assign me to what we call "Floating" or "Floor Duty" which is basically you walking around and cleaning for 5 hours. They give you all the shit that no one else wants to do. It makes me wonder if they do it on purpose. Thankfully though, if business is slow the Floater is sent home first. And while I need the hours and the good paycheck, I'd rather not be the one stuck wiping out the bottoms of the trash cans.

It doesn't matter though. Semester begins in two weeks and I am not going back to Fun Central during/after this year.
